Our walk-behind needs roughly a yard of clear gate opening. A lot of these mid-century ranches have a side yard barely wider than that once you account for the carport post or an old aluminum awning frame still bolted to the house, so we ask for a straight-on photo of the gate before we schedule. It slows the job down, not stops it, we just take smaller passes.
What actually stops a visit is a locked gate with no key arrangement, a dog that isn't secured, or a fence panel that needs to come off first. Flag any of that up front and we'll plan around it instead of finding out with the trailer already backed in.
